Key Responsibilities
- Organize, update, and maintain patient medical records (electronic and paper).
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and state/federal privacy regulations.
- Coordinate with psychiatrists, therapists, and administrative staff for timely record access.
- Prepare documentation for audits, insurance claims, and internal reviews.
- Support digitization initiatives and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of patient files.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Medical Administration, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in medical records or healthcare administration (psychiatric or outpatient preferred).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office and EHR/HIS systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
