Position Summary
As a Patient and Insurance Accounts Receivable – Medical Billing Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate billing, timely reimbursements, and effective communication with patients and insurance providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, post, and manage patient account payments.
  • Submit claims to insurance providers and follow up on acceptance/denials.
  • Prepare and review patient statements; manage delinquent accounts.
  • Process payments from insurance companies with accuracy.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
  • Code patient services using Level 1 & Level 2 HCPCS systems.
  • Enter charges and payments into the practice management system.
  • Investigate rejected claims and insurance fraud, reporting when necessary.
  • Verify demographic and insurance information during charge entry.
  • Rectify clearing house rejections promptly.
  • File charge, payment, and adjustment batches for quick reference.
  • Ensure client satisfaction through effective follow-up on outstanding claims.
  • Communicate independently with insurance companies to maintain cash flow.
  • Track KPIs and deliver positive results for assigned clients.
  • Keep supervisors informed of important client issues.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by management.

Qualifications
  • Prior experience in U.S. medical billing and insurance AR preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of medical billing software and coding systems (HCPCS).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Commitment to patient confidentiality and information security.
